Many exceptional small-production wineries receive little attention from critics or competitions. We look beyond scores and name recognition to find wines that stand out for quality, character and value.
We taste…a lot.
Our tasting panel includes winemakers, sommeliers and WSET-certified professionals. We use blind tastings to remove the influence of brand names, winemaker reputations and label design. Only a small percentage of the wines we taste become Savage-approved.

We treat our winery partners as relationships, not transactions. Those relationships give us access to small-production wines that may otherwise be available only through the winery, its tasting room or its mailing list.
